There are FIVE principles we want our clients, members, followers, and friends to use when they are trying to keep their frame lean and avoid excess body fat.
Drink more water- It is better to drink water in between meals rather than with meals. Water helps nutrients get to the cells, while flushing waste and toxins from the body. Our body is around 60% water so we literally need it to function and live properly. Avoid excess coffee, alcohol, fruit juices, and pop. Drink more water. Aim for a gallon a day.
Eat mostly vegetables. One of our most viewed Facebook videos is about 3 types of vegetables that give you superpowers. You can watch it here:

Greens from the sea such as kelp, algae, and marine phytoplankton have way too many health benefits to name. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, collard greens, etc are high in nutrients, Vitamin C, and antioxidants. Also, frozen vegetables have high nutrient content. They are healthy and easy to prepare, just be sure not to overcook them.
Consume lean protein. These are your muscles builders. They help you keep a lean body and quality muscles by burning the fat around it. Examples of lean protein sources include: egg whites, white fish, chicken breasts, turkey breasts, and lean cuts of beef. Ground beef is taken from different parts of the cow so it is not considered “lean” as much as the others. Shrimp and tilapia are bottom feeders, have no nutritional content, and are not considered good options for quality protein.
Consume healthy fats. Olive oil, coconut oil, walnuts, pecans, pistachios, almonds, avocado, and whole eggs are examples of healthy fats. These types of foods feed your brain and help regulate your hormones, meaning they are good for your thyroid (so are the sea vegetables). Healthy fats cannot be overlooked. Many times people do not get the results they want from their training or nutrition program because they are not consuming enough healthy fats.
Eat less sugar. Obviously you don’t want to consume white sugar from cookies, candy, cake, doughnuts, etc. You also do not want to consume foods that are high in preservatives. This is generally any food found in a can, box, or jar. Most of these foods are high in sugar, salt, and preservatives and they have chemical ingredients in them that will make you fat.
Follow these principles every day with every meal . Before you know it you will decrease the inches in your waist and hips, and have more energy than you’ve had in the past.
